Database Functions

Ticket Turtle has a uniquely powerful database system which helps you stay in contact with your patrons and track their transaction history, while reducing mailing costs in every possible way.

Emailings

Of course, we're constantly gathering emails. Every online sale requires an email (the patron is of course given the opportunity to opt out of all mailings and emailings). You can use Ticket Turtle to send text and HTML emailings to any subset of your community -- ticket buyers, or donors, or both.

Labels

Similarly, you can select any group of patrons / donors / community members for a paper mailing. Ticket Turtle prints the labels and exports a merge file for you to print a form letter if you wish. You can even send a combination paper / electronic mailing, with emails going out to those who have an email on file, thereby saving you printing and postage costs.

Record Merges

One unique and essential part of our system is the automatic data merges. Whenever a record is entered which may be a duplicate (because it has the same name, same address, or same phone number), the system adds it to the Merge Records screen. You then have the opportunity to tell the system that the records are or are not actually duplicates. You can also say they're members of the same family.

Record merges prevent record-keeping errors while saving you money and improving your relationship with your patrons by not sending extra copies of your newsletters.

Families and Organizations

Ticket Turtle acts as a fully functional development database. As such, it tracks families and combines mailings to family members. It also tracks the membership of individuals in organizations, and assists you in developing relationships with various kinds of organizations (sponsors, vendors, presenters, etc).
