Our reason for creating the software was to meet the unique needs of organizations that put on great performances and build community with their work (both with volunteers and in building their patron base).

Our company is based in Portland, Oregon. All departments are staffed by employees in the U.S.
Ticket Turtle was founded by Ness and Heather Blackbird in 2004. Ness and Heather still work at the company, but are joined now by a wonderful community of dedicated staff and a continually growing community of Ticket Turtle
users in the US and Canada.
Ness comes from a background in database development and Heather in non-profit management. Ness had been working with non-profits exclusively for some years and had learned firsthand how profound functional technology can be for non-profit organizations in furthering their work. He built Ticket Turtle to be exactly that: friendly, reliable, and profoundly useful.
He worked in collaboration with theater clients he'd encountered who were in desperate need of a tool they could afford that did what they needed it to: unify ticketing, fundraising, and data management.
The company
emphasizes caring for its employees and its clients. It seeks to contribute to making the world a better place by creating something people need to do their work and providing a company worth working for.
The turtle in the
